    10 + MPG Over 40 MPH

Was running the engine a little lower the other day with a 28" ProMax prop, just to see some fuel numbers. Took some pics. Basically around 4 gph to 4.3 gph at 40 to 44 MPH, depending, and around 3200 to 3400 RPM. That's about 10 MPG's at 40 + MPH.

I absolutely love this boat and setup. The problem with an Allison is that it makes everything else feel like a tug boat. If I could setup a new 150 ProXS with a 1.75 sportmaster, it would be perfect.

It has a cone. Did a detailed look at how it was modified.

Had the boat out the other day, ran the 30" ProMax prop and hit 80 MPH, just shy of 5,800 RPM.

Great running. You should tow that boat up to Mount Pleasant, Texas this weekend. Jay and I will be out running some big wheels.

What would you think of Merc's new 175 Pro XS V6? It gives up 14 pounds and affordability to the 150 but has 1.85 gears. Also, anyone know about engine mounts on the Yamaha 175 SHO and if its possible to mod the lower? Thanks!

Do you have any more updates on this boat? I'm really wanting one for just a runabout and semi fast boat for me. I'd like to put the same mercury 150 four stroke.

Did you ever end up tuning the engine? I have that same engine in my triton and I am going to tune it to see how much better it does.

Have you done the solid motor mounts yet?

Have you ever pulled a tube or anything with yours?
