raise to 3.5 and go up 1/4 inch per adjustment until lift and water pressure drop. Make sure your motor is running OK.

Are you sure you have fire on all 6 cylinders? Rpms are too low, something else is wrong.

I’ve got an 07-200. Im going to go against the above advice. Drop your motor down to 4.5 below the pad first and see what happens. If you need lift raising it won’t help. I lowered mine down to 4.5 and the boat came alive.

24 Bravo XS is the prop for that boat. You will get the lift that you're looking for. I would definitely try some different jack plate heights also.

R Warner knows the 200 Champion. I had a 2008 and had a hell of a time getting any lift or speed out of it until I lowered the motor like he suggests. Should be a 70+ mph boat once you’ve got it set up correctly

I might be inclined to agree with this. I have a 210 and when I had the 250 2 stroke , the way it was set up , 3.5 was the lowest it would go. When ever I raised it any at all it seemed not to help.

Read his post on FB, apparently he doesn’t even remember what page he posted his original question on. Don’t waste your time responding here.

I owned two 200 elites. Each boat is different but mine liked a lower prop to pad as well. I believe 4.25-4.5".

This and if you could get the "Champ Cup" out into that prop!

But everyone keeps telling him to go up. My 198 runs deeper than most say they run theirs at too.

Makes sense because a 198 is basically a 200. Just different storage compartments in the rear if I recall. The early 200's had a hook in the hull which was later removed.....

So I’ll update the thread in case he doesn’t come back. He dropped it to 5 1/8” and picked up speed to 66mph. (We will assume he is measuring prop 2 pad correctly). He said he went as low as 6” and 5” was the best.
