No it’s a 2008. My 07 doesn’t have the bad hook and it’s much different than any other champ as far as set up goes. Mine runs best 4.25-4.75 depending on load.

The hook situation was on the early 07 models, which were repaired under warranty. It was not a "bad hook", but did slow the boat by a few mph. The purpose was to make the boat "easier to drive", i.e. It helped to prevent chine walk. It did not take long before that practice was discontinued.
