I'm back to mono for almost all moving baits especially shallow baits. I can see why Fritts would use braid for deep cranking and assume the baits dive just a bit deeper due to no stretch so all of the pull is put into driving the lip deeper.

10 or 12 floro depending on bait size/running depth.

Mono works best for me for both crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and some top waters. I like braid for baits where I need to "feel" the bite, or frogging. Fluorocarbon I like as a leader on the end of braid when the water is really clear.

I've always used mono but it's hard to argue a crank guru like Fritts

I use all 3, braid, mono, and floro. If I'm into larger bass, braid for a better hook set on a long cast.

Not making fun of you or anything, but I find this funny. The reason is that I am so old, that when I was a kid, braid is all that we had so to me, mono is a newfangled idea. Put me in the old coot category.

To answer the poll, I use braid on a spinning reel and fluoro for crank and spinner bits on a bait cast reel.
