Filling Trolling Motor & Electronic Holes

My new trolling motor will not fit my old hole pattern. The dealer used isolator bolts when they mounted the trolling motor years ago so the holes are bigger than normal. What's the best way to fill the old holes?

Marine-tex would be easiest, since you're going to be covering them up with a new trolling motor anyway.

I used the plastic tabs with rigdes that are used to hold vehicle weather strip and trim. They come in different colors and just pop em out if I need the hole later or decide to fill permanently.

Marine tex or get some resin and cabosil to thicken it (and a little chop strand if you want but probably not necessary for holes). I've used both and honestly I think resin is easier to work with. Also gel doesn't like Marine tex if you ever wanted to make it look pretty.

I use this, a quart of it and you can fill as many holes as you want.

Wood dowels and marine tex...or epoxy
I put painters tape over the bottom of the hole to stop drippage

I bought vinyl chair leg pads that come with the little spike to pound in to the leg, cut off the spike and cemented them over the holes them painted them with nail polish to match the deck color. They come in a variety of sizes. Still there after three years and look nice.
