    1985 Mariner 150 flywheel issues

Boat is in storage, don't have serial # handy. High hr 2.0 carbed motor. Last yr it burned out a stator, I replaced and noticed it had heavy rub marks from flywheel on one side of stator. Lightly sanded rub areas of flywheel with 800 grit tiny wheel on dremel. Idled fine but under load it did same thing and destroyed new stator. Does not seem like crank bearing is sloppy at the upper end... could this be a flywheel out of balance or just flat worn out? TIA

Is this a red flywheel (or green)?

Unless the flywheel or HUB are loose, I would suspect a bearing problem.

Don, thanks for the reply. Flywheel appears to be black?

Happen to have the serial number?

What part number stator did you install?
