    Is this rod worth 45.00

I'm a rodbuilder but thought this might be a good buy. It needs the tip and last two guides replaced as the inserts are missing. Guy wants 45 bucks. I don't know much about bass rods especially casting rods as i specialize in light and ultra light spinning rods. Getting into bass fishing a little and would use this for myself. Thanks for your thoughts.

You can them one new for under $100 anywhere & American Legacy for less than $90. I don't think it is worth
the money for being used and what it needs. Besides, it is a pitchin stick and only 6'10. You can do much better for your money.
Just my opinion... and we all know what opinions are like......

6’10 sounds great for a pitching stick. The best rod I’ve found for pitching is 6’8 legend tournament.

That is too much money considering it needs a tip and 2 guides replaced. It is a BuCoo that retailed for like $110, it has micro guides and is very light and it isn't a bad rod. This rod in good condition would be worth $50 - $60, with a bad tip and 2 guides it is worth $25 - $30.

If the OP is a rod builder, he likely has the tip and replacement guides in his inventory of parts.......45.00 doesn't sound terrible if you can use the rod but I would try and talk him down to 35.00.

That looks like the old Bucoo (the good ones, that was made in USA) I still use that same rod for close quarters with a 1/4oz swim jigs.. If you have all parts in inventory that is pretty good deal IMO.. the micro guides do bend easy on those rides.

I truly believe the Bucoo Micro Guide rods were 129.99 new. With regular guides they were 99.99 new. If you can repair at very little cost then I think you got a decent deal.

Even if it is a good deal (which I don't think it is), who would want a 6'-10" heavy action flipping stick?

That is the best 3/8th ounce jig rod I've ever used. Kicked mine over board this summer, would happily buy a new one if it was still made.
