    Suzuki 200 ss prop results

After 3 1/2 hrs break in on a procraft 192 superpro, prop 14.5 x 25 suzuki 3 blade. Have only ran on tidal river with good current. Planes right around 3 seconds at about 4000 rpm. Wot at 6100 rpm speed 60 mph. Pretty pleased with results, don't expect much more performance. What a huge difference in operation and performance from my 2004 merc 150 xr6 2 stroke. Like a new boat as far as handling. Very happy with the Suzuki.

You should save a fortune in fuel too. Those XR6 units were thirsty.

I love my Suzuki 200SS and I really enjoy the fuel savings!
1998 Gambler Outlaw with a 2019 Suzuki 200SS, Ultrex Trolling motor with 360 imaging, two Helix 10's at the bow and two Helix 10's at the helm, and a custom Amera Trail trailer with Gator-Bak bunks on it!

I'm running a 3 blade 24.5 pitch 16 inch prop on a 175DF pushing a 20 foot boat. I get 55+ or so flat out. With your smaller boat, I'd think you could easily push a 28 pitch in a 3 blade, maybe even in a 4 blade and stay in a comfortable RPM range at cruise.
That 50 HP advantage should eclipse your old Merc, but parts wear faster the higher the RPM you turn.

See what you can pick up on the cheap.

Thanks for the advice. I will look in to your suggestions. Where might a find a prop you are referring to on the cheap ?

Keep your eyes open. I bought a 4 blade 28 pitch for $200 (new) on eBay. I need a prop blowout ring for that one because I get too much exhaust through at start right now. I'm running SS 16 inch diameter 23.5 and 24.5 three blades I stole brand new for $50.00 each delivered off eBay, but that deal dried up. I bent up a couple of the $50.00 ones, they could be reworked.
Some say 16 inch diameter props aren't good on bass boats, that might be, but I am one cheapskate.

I can run a 27 pitch 14.5” diameter on my Gambler Outlaw. I also have a 4 blade 26 pitch 15” diameter on it’s way back from Mark Croxton that has been blue printed and it should be awesome on my Gambler.

Awesome, that's a speed I'll take anyday. of course your boat and mine are different but it's a good baseline
