360 mega or ultrex

I can only afford one right now. Would you buy the 360 mega being released in December or an ultrex? The 360 mega is just being released and most likely will have some issues to work out, but maybe not. The ultrex...seems like still working out some bugs. I have a helix 12 si/di mega+ at bow and a 10” at console.

I have the Ultrex and the non mega 360. These are the two best fishing investments I have ever made! I would get the Ultrex first since it’s the more expensive of the two. Then the 360 will mount to it later.

Ultrex, no question. The 360 mega will likely be awesome but you currently have nice graphs, the Ultrex will change how you fish.

If you're going to eventually get an Ultrex and the new Mega 360, get the Ultrex first. I believe the 360 mounting provisions could be different for the Fortrex and Ultrex (need to confirm).

I would definitly get the Ultrex first because I believe it is more important than anything else at this point in bassfishing. Also if you get the 360 for the fortrex it will cost you and extra $250 to get the bracket to mount it to the ultrex. Not only do the brackets not mount to each other, if you get the ultrex now, when you get the money for the 360, if you go with the original, most likely it will be a reduced price since the mega is coming out.

Then later on, when you get a Ultrex, the mega 360 shaft designed for Ultrex is like 39” long and totally different bracket. Get the Ultrex. It’s digital, smooth as glass, excellent spot lock, no comparison to your Fortrex trolling motor, then get the right mega 360 to fit it. Short story is a Mega 360 for Fortrex is not designed to work on a Ultrex.

I had the 360 before I got the Ultrex. Ultrex hands down without question. It improves the enjoyment of fishing more than words can say and helps you boat more fish. I also had to spend $300 on the HB 360 conversion bracket for the ultrex. Both are amazing tools but the Ultrex is definitely the best investment.

360! But I would say get the current 360 and take the savings and save a little more and get the Ultrex. The 360 will help you catch way more fish than the Ultrex.

I have both. Knowing what I know, I’d have to choose the 360. I like knowing where my targets are.
