Black Crucial Blanks

The older cork Shimano Crucial rods are my all time favorite. Were any other rods from the Shimano line or any other built on the same IM 9 blanks?

I don't know about other rods from those blanks BUT I agree they are a damn good rod

The all black eva handle model used the IM10 blanks. This was when the red Cumaras came out. The first gen Cumaras used IM10 graphite but the blanks of the all black Crucials didn't compare to the sensitivity and crispness of the first gen Cumaras. Not even close.

Have 3 of these black blank/Eva foam spinning rods if anyone is in search.

I like the IM10 black on EVA foam better. I have 3 of IM9 Cork and only 1 IM10 EVA. I Think Compre EVA green also built on IM9

Most of the crucials I own were the black foam and I really liked them. Was super disappointed after I bought 8 of them and they changed to the newer style and did away with the lifetime warranty! The green ones weren't the same IMO. Happily trade in my broken crucials for 50% off exprides though.
