I've been to a place on Champlain where you can leave your boat in the water. It's in the Gut. There are lot's of places that are protected from the wind. There and other coves.

I dont think a 14 ft boat with a 25 hp would be of much use in the current in waddington.. and if you hit the non current areas your really limiting yourself.

My family and I have spent a week or more for the last 5 years in the Adirondacks. We spent 4 years on Cranberry lake and I spent this past summer on Tupper lake. I loved both lakes and the fishing was awesome. I caught more bass on Cranberry but I seemed to catch bigger bass on Tupper. I also found more largemouth on Tupper, especially on Simon pond. The opposite was true with the pike. I caught more on Tupper but bigger pike on Cranberry. If it wasn't for work I could spend all summer up there. We stayed here when we stayed on Cranberry. https://www.vrbo.com/3554950ha We took 3 bass boats and was able to dock all 3 at the house. There was electric at the dock for recharging batteries and we had plenty of parking for 3 trucks and trailers. Our stay there was awesome and I highly recommend it.

I think you will find everything you're looking for on Chautauqua Lake at We Wan Chu Cottages including it own launch, power at the docks with 4 way tie up poles and now a indoor salt water swimming pool. Place is extremely clean with plenty of things for kids to do also.

This is the first time I've heard someone talk positive about this place.
