2001 200 EFI ecu #824003A26 ground needs fixing for fuel pump

I have been told that I could continue using this ECU by adding a ground on a toggle switch to the neg side of the fuel pump. I would rather sell the ECU to someone who can do that or sell it to a technician who can fix it. I would appreciate some guidance on this...
