    Fall fishing help????

Needing some help with fall fishing. Been out a couple of times this fall and not have had the best of luck. So anyone that might share some tips on how you fish in the fall here in Central IL?

Went to Clinton Sunday afternoon and got skunked. Fished by the dam and west ramp with crankbaits, chatterbaits, jigs, and spinner baits without success. Any help would be appreciated. I dont tourney fish just with my 2 sons.

The fish scatter pretty good on Clinton in the Fall, but if you find them, you can catch a bunch. If there is any wind at all, I start looking for the pockets with wind blowing into them off of the main lake. A small (1/4 oz) white spinnerbait with Colorado blades is $$$ on the windy banks and a Spro Little John in Spooky Shad color is usually pretty handy. If there is little or no wind, I just idle into pockets and look for shad, once I find shad, I start fish'n towards the back end.
