    2009 HPDI Ticking Sound??

I have a 2009 HPDI 200hp and this weekend it started making a ticking sound at low RPM. No performance issue at all. Anyone experience this before or have ideas?

Pull your plugs and see what they look like. Compression check and try to isolate if the noise was the engine or gear case.

If you have a bore scope and take a look at the piston. They are known to break ring lands.this is mine a couple weeks ago. 20190916_194304_001.jpg

I pulled the plugs last night and they all look good. Going to borrow a bore scope this evening and take a look in cylinders. Motor ran fine all weekend at Berkley tournament other than this tapping sound at low rpm.

Does it "tick" when in neutral?
    When in gear?
    Or all the time?
