I believe it is supposed to have oil injection. Does anyone know what the specs as far as compression should be on this. I realize it being used will obviously have impact on this of course. I thought I had read that hours couldn't be checked on these motors but seller said he thought hours were low. Less than 160hrs is the claim but i'm a bit skeptical about that. I will try to get more info on exact model number and post on this thread. Any advice as what i should ask about and look for is greatly appreciated. I am going to ask if I take a compression tester with me if we could check in my presence. Thanks for any and help/advice!!!

Compression within 10-15% of each cylinder....should be in the 90's...If he won't agree to comp test walk away.....

Is there a way to add short video clips to posts?

I believe, going by the engine cover that is an Evinrude DFI motor and not a Johnson Carb motor. The Johnson would have two vents going around the back side of the motor cover. If it has an F in the model number it will be an injected motor.

Give it a look they may have changed the covers. If the model number on the tag says E115FSxxx or E115FPxxx it is a direct injected. If it is a Johnson it will say J115GLxxx or J115PLxxx
