    Where are the MS guys?

Wow. This has really been a long dry spell of no posts about anything from our great state! The bass fishing has been really good at Sardis and Enid. The bass are really feeding up now and have been ready and willing to bite. College football hasn’t been worthy of much discussion for any of us. I just wanted to see who still stops by BBC’s MS page every now and then hoping to see if anything had been posted. I hope everybody is doing well and hope to see some new posts on here soon. God bless all!

Well now you have just gone andopened up a couple of things. Since we can catch the “big bass” like Patrick does we will just have to talk football. Recon moorehead will be around next season?

That’s a good question but my follow up question is always who could they hire that would do better? I don’t know what’s wrong with the Bulldogs so I’m glad I’m not a diehard fan. I’d rather worry about what I need to do to catch bass about half as big as those that Patrick catches. I could change my name to Medium Bass Man.

Glad to see the fish are biting somewhere in our great state! I believe they done got lockjaw here in Lincoln county. Crappy fishing has picked up some but everyone I’ve talked to has had the same response about the bass.

Well, the winter draw down and the change in weather has really cramped my fishing! I went to Enid on Wednesday afternoon, Nov 6th, and caught 20 nice bass. They all came on a Strike King Shim-E Stick fished on a 1/4 oz shaky head. I fished crappie mats and brush piles in 3-5’ of water and the bite was aggressive. I went back to Enid yesterday about midday and fished a few hours. The mats and brush where I had caught fish 10 days earlier were high and dry! The lake has passed the point of the slow fall and daily drawdown is significantly noticeable now. After trying the shaky head in newly exposed brush and mats with zero bites, I did manage to catch 6 bass on a square bill fished around shallow stumps. The fish ranged from a pound to a couple about 2 1/2-3 lbs. I did hook a catfish that I believe was about 3’ long and maybe 30 lbs. Sorry rascal did about 4 laps around the boat and then decided to go back to the stump he came off of and that’s when I discovered my drag was too tight! The catfish broke my line, taking my little crank bait with him. I guess that was the lucky crank bait because I didn’t catch another fish with any other square bills I tried. I’m sure somebody probably caught them doing something completely different than me so I’ll just keep chunking and winding until I get on them again.
