    Favorite boats

So we had the thread about favorite vehicles that you miss. How about some favorite boats that you let go? Mine was late nineties Tracker 185 or 190 with a Merc 90. I bought it in 2005 for $4500 to use as a practice boat when I was between pro-staff Rangers( pro staffers suck hind tit when it comes to boats). I kept it for two years and sold it for $6500 but I wish I had kept. It was a decent
riding hull and I could go 2-3 days on a tank of gas. It was just fun to fish out of.What were your favorites?

I miss my Stroker. High 89's to low 90's ready to fish. The mid range planting you in the seat.
Speed is a rich mans pursuit and I'm not a rich man. Lol!

An older Bullet 20XRD with a 200 Limited Edition Johnson. It was odd with the OMC on back, but that motor was the most reliable I ever owned. Of course, I disconnected the crappy VRO to make it even more reliable. Motor probably made it slower than just about every other Bullet, but Rangers/Skeeters/BassCats with 250s couldn't run with it.

I’ve loved both my Rangers but still my favorite boat was the 16’ Alumacraft Tiller I bought when I was 18. 40hp Johnson that ran awesome, near zero maintenance, and I used to fish constantly with it....used to even take it with me working out of town, at night just explore ponds, lakes, and rivers....

I don't miss any of the boats I have owned. My first boat was a little 14' Mirrocraft tin with a 25 Merc. It got the job done but very slow and tippy. Second boat was a 17' MonArk glass boat with a 115 Merc. quick little boat but was a chore to drive at hop end. My current boat and probably my last is my Ranger 373 with a Yamaha Pro V 150. Its pretty slow as bass boats go but it`s been flawless for over 30 years with very few problems and does everything I want it to do.
1987 Ranger 373V 150 Yamaha proV still going strong.

I had a ‘98 Triton TR17 with a 130 Yamaha on it. Bought it brand new just out of high school, it was the 12th Triton ever sold in Canada. Fished team tournaments with my cousin for 5 years before I moved up to a Lund Pro-V. It was such a fun little boat to drive, was so light and nimble you could make it pop right out of the water just by hammering the throttle a few times. I much prefer my deep-V boats now for where I fish, but I’d love to take that rig out for a rip again.

2003 Champion 187. It just wouldn’t fit in the garage.

    Definition of favorite?

Not for ride, comfort, storage or speed—- But 1986 I bought a 1985 Pro17, Alumacraft with a 50 HP Merc on a single axle roller trailer. I put that boat in ponds and lakes that had no ramps. Get the trailer close to the water “feed” the winch strap out, drop it in the water, winch it back on the trailer to leave. Caught a lot of fish with that boat, easy towing, didn’t cause the truck to burn much gas either——- someday I may be going back that way.
