Do you have the black box for engine data also?

I have been wondering this a bunch lately. So I have 4 solix now, ipilot link connected to ethernet and the talons connected via bluetooth. Will I need a second ethernet 5 port to make this work with Mega 360? Also not to side track this thread but is there a better way to connect the talons cause sometimes, it loses connectivity.

No, the MEGA 360 is NOT an Ethernet accessory.
At least one of the SOLIX units has to be a G2.

I’m curious when it will be available to go down to your local shop and pick one up. I upgraded my units just to purchase one and the wait is never ending.

360 and MEGA 360 are Side Imaging transducers that rotate. They can also be used as a Side Imaging transducer (they don't rotate then).

Neither 360 does 2D sonar, so if you want a depth readout on the 360 view, you need at least a 2D transducer involved.
Both 360's will function without a depth source.

Since the MEGA 360 connects to the transducer port and replaces Side Imaging, it makes sense to run them with a DI+ unit and DI transducer with the MEGA 360 providing Side Imaging and 360. You get all three sonar technologies at a lower cost than with a SI+ unit.

If you just want MEGA 360 and nothing else, the DI+ CHO models are a lower cost (doesn't come with a transducer).

Wayne....So, I just got in a Helix 10 and am waiting on my Mega 360 transducer rod....I have a Helix 7 on my bow now, and was going to somehow network them so I could also look at DI or sonar 2D on the Helix 10 hooked to the 360. Sounds like if I understand, I need a Y-cable 7-pin?? Sales guy at dealer said he'd just designate the Helix 10 solely for Mega 360, and the Helix 7 for all else??? Your thoughts?? Thanks!

Need to know the whole model names of the units---every letter and number. They MUST be SI+ or DI+ in their model names to support the MEGA 360.

Helix 10 MDI GPS G3N CHO, the one in dash on bow not 100% sure but think it is Heliz 7 SI Chirp G3N...The Helix 7 is networked to my Helix 9 on console....All G3N

None if the 7's are + units. The Helix 10 you are listing is a + unit.

Wayne, I have no idea what this black box for engine data is. I use Mercury vessel view mobile for engine data.

The units have engine readouts you can get by connecting to it via Ethernet and a black box NMEA 2000. If you look at engine data on any of your units, that takes up an Ethernet port.

Gentlemen, Just FYI, I started the mounting process last night for my Mega and the Boat Logix stabilizer mount is a must for the mega! it makes it rock solid to the tm shaft. Just thought I'd let some of you know if you haven't purchased something to take the bounce out of the mega when running. I have no affiliation with Boat Logix, just trying to share some info.
