    Humminbird helix network??

I'm looking to purchase a Helix 12 G3N Mega SI for the console. I am currently running a Helix 7 G2 GPS DI non network unit on the bow. I don't fish tournaments. Is it that important for units to be connected?
Share map cards? Share waypoints? Share transducers?
I would have to sell my Helix 7 and get a G3N model.

Helix units do not share any mapping of any kind with any connection.

I like the sharing waypoints ability.

I like my partner in the back seeing what I'm seeing up front. He sees, on the console unit, the fish, depth, structure, water temp and everything I'm seeing on the bow unit w/o any interference on the screen.

That way you can control the trolling motor so they don't have a chance and the beat down is even more severe....
