    Winter getaway

I work in alaska on a month on, two weeks off schedule. Next month im wanting to stage my boat down in the south west. Somewhere to fish for the winter and looking for suggestions with good fishing and some what warm. Thinking Havasu, powell, etc. Boat will be stored in Phoenix.

I would say Havasu or Mohave. Both lakes are great to fish. Mohave will be a little further from Phoenix but quieter to fish. Havasu will have good fishing but busier and more eye candy to look at.

Powell is amazing but will be cold. If your trying to warm up go further south!

Why not try Roosevelt Lake? I believe it's closer to Phoenix than Havasu.

Not necessary staying in phoneix. Jus looking for spots where its decent fishing and in the 60s or warmer. Bonus points for a smallmouth (or flippin for largies) fishery and nice campground. Not really up for dealing with california and its traffic.
