    Power loading is a trend?

According to a poster on another thread I guess power loading is an in thing to do because the pros do it? Heck i thought some ramps you literally have no choice but to power load. At least here and the surrounding states I have fished in. Everyone does it or else they get wet wading out in the water....

I see quite a few anglers doing this because they saw a tour guy doing it. Trim the motor high and add enough throttle to make the bow rise enough to get the TM out of the water. Most time they are the same ones that do the power loading trick as well.

All our ramps power loading is illegal near me, and most do not have dock. I carry hip waders to launch. Kind a cold to jump in with the flip flops fom now to winter.

42 years ago when I bought my first bass boat. It came with what they called at the time a "drive on trailer." Not a stand in the water up to you nuts trailer.

Same here, didn't know there was any other way until i saw pleasure boats and Pontoon boats loading. That going in the water and fighting the wind by hand to load up didn't look like fun to me.

The way most ramps are built in the northeast (hard surface doesn't extend very far into the lake), power loading destroys the ramp by eroding the gravel until it undermines the ramp and it collapses. Probably doesn't help that a lot of guys aren't trimming up much, they're just trying to push it on.
