I have a minnkota fortrex 101 on the bow of my boat along with a Lowrance HDS-Gen2. The further away i move my external transducer from the trolling motor the less interference i get. At speeds 10-90 i get same horrible interference when trolling motor is activated but on 100 all interference disappears. I am trying to solve this issue. I have the internal ground wire ran from the inside of bottom of the trolling motor to the negative of the wire in the top of the trolling head. Would running a wire from the outside of the skeg to the negative of the cranking battery help? My graphs are powered off of the cranking battery or does it make a difference which battery it is grounded to?

Any advice?

Also tried a 24 volt trolling motor on the boat and zero intererence whatsoever but the 112 ultrex caused interference when we tested it
