    Fall fishing the Roanoke

    Guys,

I am taking my 13 year old down east for the first time this weekend and I have never fished the Roanoke or Chowan in October. I have been down every May for the last 15 years but never any later. So I am hoping to get some hints on lures and/ior locations that are good this time of year. I know this is asking a lot as there appears to be a couple tournaments this weekend but I just want to put my kid on fish and those rivers can be stubborn....

Feel free to PM me any info you care to share.

    Thanks

    Aaron

Wish you luck with the kids but i have not been down east since the spring except the Pamlico river. I am sure the guys on here will help you out.

I heard earlier this week that they had been chewing pretty good right now. This time of the year I usually treat it just like the spring. Frogs, buzz baits and T-Rigged soft plastics. Let me know how you do. My plans are to be there 10/26-10/27 depending on weather.

If I fished to live.....I'd starve to death!
