    94 mph 196

Bought a 2005 TR 196, hung a new 200 Sho with flash, solid motor mounts, fatshaft, Hydrotec coned lower. Here is a video with Chris Bailey driving. I know it's overpowered, but it handles like a dream, amazing that this hull can run mid 90's.

Have an xi5 troller, only weighs 47 lbs? 125 lbs of ballast to balance it. No gear. Still figuring it out. I’ll post when I run it with my gear. Hydrotec has dynoed these motors at 350 hp or so at the crank. The 196 has a great fishing platform!

Yes. For now anyway. Love the 21 as well. The coned lower really helps it handle. Chris said it was the best handling boat he has ever driven, which is saying something. 2 3/8 above the pad.

I ran it 90.1 @ 1.5” above the day before. 2 3/8 is crazy. But it got it done!

I'd be afraid of blowing the prop out even though it's a good hull but 94 is still a bit much for it.

Really don’t know what the limit is. Also really don’t want to find it. The 21 will lay down when the prop blows out, but that’s been at 87 or so.

29 3 blade Hyperdrive. 6500 or so rpms. 7000 limiter. The Hydrotec coned lower has a pretty big skeg, we are thinking we will run out of water pressure before the prop loses bite.

Chris told me this twice, once Monday after he ran it, and again yesterday. That if he fished a lot, he would have that rig, he would try to buy one of these 196s with a Sho. Just how wide the front deck is, you can put up to 7‘4“ rod on either side, dual console. And just how well it drives
