    2009 champion trailer, blue wire

Is the Blue wire on a factory champion trailer from 2009 with a 5pin connector used for backup surge brake lockout solenoid, or is it for electric braking? Does this wire just get tapped into the revers/backup light circuit wire from the vehicle or trailer?

    Thanks,

Should be for the surge break if I remember correctly. Your running lights have to be turned on when backing or they'll lock up.

Matt's right, it's for the surge brake solenoid for backing and is activated off your backup lights. I don't know of any Champ trailers with factory electric brakes. f your tow vehicle has a 7 blade RV connector, get a RV to 5 pin adapter. https://www.google.com/search?source...4dUDCAg&uact=5
