Lake mattoon

Does anyone bass fish this lake ? My wife and I did a roundtrip last fall to check it out. Looked it up on my navionics looks really deep. Any info on lake,camping,fishing really appreciated. thanks joe

I used to live on the lake. I haven't fished it in a couple of years. I wouldn't call it deep. Probably an average of 12-15ft.. just a guess. Deepest is probably upper 20's down by the dam. There are a couple of campgrounds. The nicer is by the main ramp. The charge an annual fee now and not sure about a day pass. Not huge bass by any means but there are bass in there. Crappie fishing is good too.

I think you have to buy a season pass and no daily passes..
