All i use is a #2 Owner trailer hook.

I use a plain split tail sometime that will match the skirt color and sometimes it will contrast against the skirt color.

most of my spinnerbait fishing is burning 1/2 oz double willows i prefer no trailer. if i am not burning them i'll probably be using a rattle trap instead. if i was around more largies instead of smallies i might have a different view.
