Champion 203 Eliete Anniversary 2000 Model - rating for HP ?

    Hi Champion Fans!

Can someone look through any official paperwork one might have to tell me what the specs rate the year 2000 anniversary edition 203 for in terms of HP ?

Thinking a 250 HO engine is too much.

    I'm re-powering with a used engine.

Advice appreciated. ChampionMan, i sent u a private message and thank you for the link to C&O engine sales! I spoke with them... very nice people.

250 for a 203 is a good choice. Were I looking for one, a 225 would be the bare minimum, a 250 SHO would be very cool!

I think you will be pleased with a 250 SHO. I had one on a 210 and loved it.

I have a 250 HPDI on my 1998 203 Elite. It is not too much HP by any means. A 250 SHO would be great and a 300 HP motor would not be overpowered either on that boat.

My old 203's rating plaque stated any V-6. The 250 will be a great setup. Good luck.

I believe he's going with a ETEC 250 HO so the doesn't have to swap everything out.

That is a great motor and should push that 203 very well.
