Hummingbird Helix 9 or 10 SI

Hey guys! I'm looking at upgrading my console unit to either a Helix 9 or 10. I am looking for something with good side imaging and downscan. I have heard that the Helix 9 is the same size as the 10, but obviously the screen is a little bigger. Is it worth getting a 10 or should I stick with a 9? I am truly only looking for a graph that has good side imaging and downscan. I have no idea how the GEN 1, 2, 3 work and is it worth getting a GEN 2 over a GEN1. Thanks guys!

Both the first and second generation units are discontinued.
    G3 is current.
The first and second generation units are the same cabinet size.
The third generation Helix 8 and Helix 9 are the same size cabinet.

For Side Imaging, get the largest display size your budget allows.

I would go with a 10" if looking for good down imaging go with the Helix 10 Mega to get true DI.

I own two helix 9 si gen 3 and have no problem seeing good di views on on the units, I love them! But if you can afford the 10" you might as well go for them. Never hurts goin bigger.
