    Ultrex Bearing Noise

Been meaning to post this for a month or so but been buried with year-end tournaments (being state President is more work than they tell you!). Anyway, about a month or so ago my Ultrex started making a grinding noise. It is when the motor is on, not from the steering. Sounds like a bearing and is slowling getting worse. Way too noisy now so I need to get it fixed but like to have an idea before I take it in. Of course right at the 2 year warranty period too!

You can remove the prop and pull one bolt from the motor to see if it is water intrusion. Good luck

Check like above for water intrusion. There is a bearing on the end of the armature that will go bad if water gets to it. With the warranty, should take it to an ASC
