2D Mega Question

Like most I have my MEGA mounted on the jack plate and standard puck in the bulge for high speed. Both connected by a Y cable. When on plane and my 2D is being provided by the puck in the bilge is that signal a MEGA feed? I guess I asking is the standard puck that one epoxies in the hull capable of transmitting and receiving the MEGA frequency. Or, is the feed just standard 2D.

MEGA is the 1200 kHz frequency of Imaging. 2D is NOT Imaging, so no a 2D puck will not be broadcasting the MEGA frequency.
Depends on which generation your unit is what the 2D frequency would be.
G2N MEGA units use 83/200 kHz as standard for 2D sonar.
G3N MEGA units use HW 140-240 kHz as standard for 2D sonar.

BTW 1200 kHz is 1.2 MHz.

Thanks Wayne. I have a G2. So I’m getting 83/200 thru my standard puck.
