    Installing a jackplate

    Anyone know what the torque specs would be to bolt the jackplate to the transom? It is a 1990 model.

    yes I had a brain fart on that answer lol. 40-55lbs on transom.

    No,it’s 50 ft # to the transom,90ft # motor to jack plate. 90 on the transom will pull the bolt heads in.

    also a good time if you wanted to add transom support brackets.... its usually not needed and over kill.. but i find it a peace of mind as your not worrying about crushing the transom with those washers. hydrodynamics sells nice ones.
