Just noticed a ticking/knocking during warm up. Once the motor was warm it went away. Motor ran fine but that has to begining of bad news, no?
Just noticed a ticking/knocking during warm up. Once the motor was warm it went away. Motor ran fine but that has to begining of bad news, no?
Could be many things..... the start of a gearcase failure, very loose valve, internal engine issue etc.
How many hours on the motor? When was the engine oil and gear lube last changed?

Thanks for the reply Clayshooter. Taking the boat in tomorrow to the marina where i get all my maintenance done. Yes your right could be a lot of things. Hopefully it's nothing to serious. I'll post when I find out.
