Primer Bulb Install

Question for the board. Installing a new primer bulb on 03 Merc XR6. Ran the boat last Wednesday. Will there be fuel in the line as I switch this out? Please advise.

If the old one is bad, maybe not, but plan on some. Quicksilver replacement or don’t waste your time IMO.

Id just keep a small container to catch any running fuel. Usually a little will come out. A cottage cheeae container or something like that works fine.

Thanks guys. I laid some shop towels down and absorbed most of the gas. Was not much. Thanks for the assists.
