    Backup prop Basscat Puma

2011 Puma FTD, 250XS, Torquemaster Gen 1, 4 AGMs, 52” Fortrex, Hyd JP, 2-12’ Talons, Moderate+ tackle, 22rods port. Primary prop is 25 Fury 3 worked by Ronnie Gilbert. At 73, 5730 RPMs, with more available.Holeshot good- very good. ( Had a 26 Tempest Plus which lifted boat well in Spring but summer holeshot not good)

i need to take a trip to lake as river lately hasn’t allowed WOT for any distance.
Low 70s comes pretty quick but time to get much faster river fishes too small for most outings.

Looking to try a 4 blade as backup, bad weather and maybe summer time prop And interested in feedback:
    1. Same pitch Fury? Or go down 1?
    2. Bravo 1 XS 26 or 27?
    3. Or 24 Fury 3 (as more available)

i have been watching the boards and it seems very limited 4 blade used props available.

    Thank you for your input

How fast and how many rpm's does it turn the 25 fury at WOT since you say it has more left. If it won't turn more rpm's with the 25 you'll need less pitch because your 200-300 down on rpm's now. You should be picking up rpm's now as the air temps are falling.

I run a Bravo 1 XS 26 on my 17 Eyra but could easily turn a 27 in the cooler months. I plan on buying a 27 soon, really like the Bravo XS. Prop gives lots of lift, great in rough water, good hole shot.
