    Question for the experts

We built a dock for the pond using a pontoon boat this summer. My question for you all is this, do I need to pull it out for winter? We live in Iowa and the pond will most definitely freeze. One friend of mine has the same setup and leaves it in all winter. Another pulls it out. I don’t have a trailer or an easy way to get the boat out of the water so it would be easiest to leave it in but I’m afraid of ruining it.

If it were me, I would not leave it in the water for the winter. Ice can do quite a bit of damage. If you some how puncture a toon, could be a real hassle pulling it when water has filled the toon vs. now when it is floating.

Agree with above. Remove the boat.
