    Live Well"s

I cannot hold water in the live well's when I'm running around the lake. I noticed a (what looks to be) push pull knob under the throttle, but does'nt push in or pull out. On the knob plate it say's "Live Well Control Push to Close". It is obviously stuck, any idea on how to fix this problem.
Thank you to all in advance

You will need to remove the gas tank, the valve(s) is under that. Could be just a stuck valve, a frozen cable or both. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to pull the tank. I would seriously consider replacing all hoses, live well valves and pumps while i an down there, unless you KNOW that they were done recently.

    1. Pull the fill and vent tubes off the tank; 2. Siphon or pump all the gas you can’t get out; 3. Disconnects the fuel gauge sender; and 4. Slide the tank forward as you are lifting up on the front edge. The tank has the front lower edge beveled to allow it to come out by lifting in this manner.

    Good Luck Robert.

Thanx Ed, does this plug into the actual deain holeinside the live well or into the hull @ the back of the boat? If it is into the hull in the back it would require sticking my head in the water & not that willing on my part, lol
but if it is for inside the live well, I am willing to get my arm wet.

One of these plugs should fit.

I had the same issue with my boat. So what i ended up doing was replacing all my pumps and all my thru hull fittings. In addition I cleaned up the bilge area really good & I've never had any more problems since. It might seem like over kill but at least you'll know everything is brand new & will work properly!

As Lea noted, pull the drain guard and insert a drain plug. If I remember, these are 3/4" plugs.

Thank You to all that replied to my post!
Lea, I figured it was the drain inside the livewell's, just had to be sure. It's an off season job that isn't all that important to merit ripping the tank out when I can just put a plug into the drain hole. The pumps (including the bilge pump all work fine so I cant justify this work until the pumps fail if I can just shove a $5.00 plug into a hole & be done. I think installing my new trolling motor is going to take a front seat on the priority list. But since we really have not much of an off season in California I'm finding even that one a hard one to actually motivate myself into installing. Sometime I just gotta ask myself "What's wrong with me" lol
