    Trailer LED issue

The brake lights work but the turn signals don't. Am I missing something?

Look at your truck. Brake and turn lights are the same in every way on the trailer. Same wires and same bulbs.

That's the head scratcher. Working on the SUV, showing up as working on the tester, not working on the trailer. I figure, it's LED. If the brake light works, the turn signals should work. It's not like a small bulb blew.
I'll have to check it out again.

What do you mean by “working on the SUV”?

If a new installation maybe he hooked the brake bulbs to the running light wires.

Even though the brakes and the turn signals are the same bulbs/lights, on many trucks they are fused differently. Check the fuses on the vehicle.

Did you check to see if you have power to your taillights turn signals.

What make and model of tow vehicle, Some in the past, the brake lights and the turn signals were different circuits meaning it had a turn signal light and a separate brake light. If this is the case you would need a special adaptor installed in the harness to the trailor plug to combine the turn and brake lights into a single circuit per side. It has been several years since this has been done on any vehicle that I am aware of. Used to be very common on Asian vehicles.
Be sure to test the ground circuits, may carry enough current to run one turn signal but not enough to run both brake lights
Also check your fuse box for trailer specific fuses such as brake, left and right turn

Check the fuses on the truck. I know for certain that Chevy/GMC has seperate fuses for the truck and trailer brake/turn signal. I assume they do this so that faulty trailer wiring won't blow the fuse on the truck as well. Labeled as something like "trlr LT".
