Lowrance-Garmin Nmea 2000 network
I have a Lowrance G2 touch with point 1 on the console for mapping.
I bought a 126 Ultra and was going to try to use the point -1 with it.
I assume all Nmea 2000 network connectors are standard size no matter what brand they are because the Lowrance Nmea connector plugged into the back of the Garmin 126.
I hooked the 126 Ultra into the Nmea 2000 network with the Lowrance.
The Garmin 126 would not boot up, just kept cycling through boot up sequence.
So, I guess you cant mix brands on a Nmea 2000 network?

Yes you can use the Lowrance N2K network with Garmin. In fact i'm using my Point 1 with my Garmin units AND also still use my Lowrance HDS 10 Gen 2 unit. So the reboot should not be caused by the Lowrance network and or Lowrance unit. If you need to check, dont connect anything to the Garmin and try to start it up. It may be another issue to figure out.

Strange, As soon as I disconnected the Nmea 2000 cord it booted up and operated perfect.

I have 2 point 1 and a temp sensor on the network.

One at bow one at transducer. Have another Lowrance at bow for maps.

I connected my EM+ that is dedicated for LS to the N2K circuit.
It works perfect, Can see all my N2K devices in the list.
I think something is wrong with the N2K port on my Ultra.

I am going to get on the chat line in the AM.
Was thinking maybe there is a wire swapped in the N2K port of the head unit or bail mount when they built it.
