    2018 trx 21 questions

I am looking at buying a late 2018 trx21 with a 2019 pro xs v8 four stroke. It has a 23 fury on it currently. The boat don’t have power poles. What top Speed can I expect with 2 people ? Thanks everyone. Also any idea where I should start prop to pad measurement? The current owner doesn’t drive the boat fast and the motor has never been moved on the jackplate .

I’d probably expect it. My 20TRX has been to 73 and was still pulling and I know a guy that has hit 77 in his 20TRX. I think the 21 is supposed to have a faster hull. I don’t think the two boats are much different in weight.

I don’t think that is the right prop though. I have a 24P Tempest+ and the other guys has a 25p Fury as I recall but he did say that was too big.

EDIT: I’m probably wrong on the prop

Tempest plus is the only way to go, ditch the fury.

Depends on the load, and set-up. I would probably be looking at 72-75mph.

24 Fury on mine. 73 today with me and partner at 260 and 300. I’d say 75 is doable with normal size guys.

Thanks guys I only weight about 150 myself so I think 75 will happen.
