Quite the long story involving lots of family members and kids, but she's to the point where we're worried about her taking her own life. It's too bad you can't make someone see that they need help or force them to get it.

If they are a threat to anyone including themselves you can against there will but not easy and not for long. Good Luck!

If she is suicidal she should be taken to an emergency room where they will put her in a 72 hour psych hold. They will evaluate her accordingly. She may claim that she is not suicidal and be able to walk out but if the family strongly disagrees, that will help in the evaluation.

This has already been done. So, we're pretty much past that stage. All we can do now is hope and pray. My parents have custody of her one minor child for the time being.
