But that's a factory single console. What I meant above, if it's a dual console and the console is molded into the top cap like the first pic vs a modular console like the second pic.

yes sir, I agree. I think he can get it off, just might have to come up with something to cover the potential damage.

To cover the small marks where the console had been, I stuck some thin vinyl peel and stick black non-skid tape over the area, looks like a 4 inch wide stripe and when the console goes back on it acts as a gasket/buffer between the fiberglass surfaces. When the console is removed I push some flat plastic removable covers with 1/4 " stems into the mounting holes. Can't tell there was a console at one time.
