Recall....or No Recal, that is the question

New Mercury 225 Pro XS Serial # 2B575555.

On the Mercury website under my serial number it shows both recall numbers (2019-9 & 2019-10). I never received a letter so I called local dealership. They checked and said my engine was not in the recall sequence.

BTW, no current signs of oil leak.

Looks like your motor's Serial number is outside the affected motors - the models covered for 2019-10 are serial numbers 2B576232 - 2B639806 and for 2019-09 are serial numbers 2B590808-2B635567.

Thanks Twise for actual serial numbers involved. I had not seen that in prior postings.

Ah tlf1058....when you enter your serial #, you still get ALL the info for the 'series' of engines, not just your specific engine. So you're seeing 'everything'. Not all will necessarily affect you or your engine.

    +1

And definitely your engine is NOT covered under these bulletins.
