    Lay Lake question ...

    Guy's it's been 20 years since I have been on Lay Lake it seems. Did Alabama Power come through Lay and cut out all the timber like they did on Neely Henry years ago? The areas around Lacoosa Marina, Kates Branch, Spring Creek, up by Okomo's ...etc? I know they put out Channel Markers but was wondering about all the standing timber that use to be down there.

    There is plenty of timber still standing in the lake below Beeswax on the left. I do not tink you wil have to many problems finding timber from mid lake on down.

    Very little timber other than cedars are standing anymore, but all of the stumps are still there and right under the water. It’s best to stay within the channel markers from the steam plant down to the narrows.
