Here is the 300R putting the 32 Promax on the limiter in 28 seconds on a fully loaded XB21 Prosport. The boat hits the limiter at 100 and get a little more to top out at 101.2mph.
I made this pass the other day trying to test a camera and get better video for the 300XS vs. 300R video I posted about the other day. This was the delay in getting that video done. This is my grass roots campaign to get merc to build a bigger Promax. LOL
When I got back to a computer and looked at the data closer I couldn't believe it. The 32P Promax on the 300R is just putting the hurting on all my best 5-85 and 5-XXX runs that I have ever made. The R is even beating the 300XS DBR in cleaned out race light form. I ended up making 3 nearly identical passes to verify. I had one pass that was quicker to 85, but I didn't trim right and it fell short of 100. I had another pass that went up over 101, but was a little slower from 80-100. I took this pass as it was a good blend of both.
The fastest 5-100 on my boat was held by the 300R and the P4 at 30 seconds. The 300XS DBR had the fastest 5-85 pass recorded cleaned out and race light running a 26 Lab Promax. The 300XS also held a few other bests on my boat as the 28 Promax was an awesome prop with the 1.62 DBR 300XS. It would hit 5-85 super quick and run out to 97mph. That is something that until I worked out all the kinks of the 32 Promax I couldn't find a replacement for. The 1.75 case just limited the top end of everything.
Until now, the 32P Promax beat the 300XS DBR 26 Promax cleaned out run. It has bested the 28 now as well. All in a prop that in the right climate can hit 101 super quick and can still be run for tournaments.
