    TM mount fiberglass damage

I hit a stump pretty hard and snapped my ultrex shaft and it started to rip the mounting bolts out. Now my TM moves side to side when in use. All bolts are tight. What is the best fix? Take it to a fiberglass shop?

Any visible damage from the top...either way prolly gonna have to re-glass and reshoot where the TM is at.

Take a look underneath and see what is going on. I would think that even if some of the holes got ovalized from an impact if the bolts are tight than the mount shouldn't move. If you haven't already, remove the mount from the boat and inspect the top and underside of the mounting area before taking it to a shop.

Are you using stainless steel bolts, fender washers and lock nuts, or the rubber mounting isolators???... I'd go the stainless bolts, fender washer and lock nut way... Dan
