    I'm on my third one.
Both were while fishing also and I haven't worn them a total of 6 months in 28 years.

I’ve lost two in a year and a half. Haven’t got a new one yet and it’s going to be while before I do.

Same thing almost happened to me when i jumped off the side of a stake bed truck. I briefly hung on the ring but then it let go and I hit the ground safely

49 years in the dresser for me. [I think it’s in there; haven’t looked for 25 years.]

My friend Mark was fishing for smallmouth bass in Lake Erie about 8 years ago. He had caught a rather large smallie, and as he went to unhook it it gave a large shake, and Mark's wedding ring slipped off his hand and into the lake. Last week he was fishing in about the same area for Walleyes and had a real good day. He took 3 fish back home and was filleting them with an electric knife. As he was doing the third fish, he felt the knife hit something hard. He looked down and sure enough, he had cut off his finger.
    What a coincidence!
