Did they start making them again? Loved them as a chatterbait trailer, but haven't seen them for a long time. The new Jester looks like a similar deal but has two "tails" (claws)

Are you rigging them sideways or tail flat for the chatterbait?

Sideways for me. But I found my new chatterbait trailer today that will be replacing the devil's spear. That's "The Deal", it has great tail kicking action and matched up great with a jackhammer.

Always rigged them sideways, too. That bait does look very good, I'm sure I'll try some next year. With the weather coming this weekend, as sad as it is, I might be done for the year. Hopefully it turns back around.

Can't be done for the year. It's just starting to get good.

I should mention I'm up in Duluth during the week (work/teach up here), and weekends while school is in session are for family time. I'm absolutely swamped this week (actually typing this while waiting for some data analysis programs [research stuff] to run in the background), and it's getting a little more extreme for the foreseeable future up around here...water temps already into the low 50s, and with high temps not expected to get out of the 40s after Thursday, it doesn't bode well for water temps. I'm more than a little bummed out, particularly with the amazing weather the last several days and not being able to enjoy it. Maybe we'll see some highs back into the 50s still yet, it just becomes less and less likely the longer this cold snap persists. I did get out last week for an hour and catch my last buzzbait fish of the year (54 degree water), so that was fun at least!

    Also...apologies for derailing the thread!
