Anybody have this rod? Can it handle punching up to 1 oz?
I don't have this rod (I have an E6X SWB) but swimbait rods have a lot of flex to the middle of the blank and are meant for bombing big baits over open water - which is the opposite of what's required for punching.
If you want an long IMX-Pro rod for fishing heavy cover, then you probably want a 904 MBR or an 894 JWR (which will probably feel overloaded with a 1 oz weight)
