    anyone make a lift to get bassboat off of trailer

    was wondering if anyone did this. sister up three 2x10 boards (one on each side in back and one for up front) and fix a cross member beam with two chains in back and one for up front.

    Best to use straps fore and aft, then lift boat off trailer.

    Yes,
    I built a rolling carriage that goes under the flat section of the hull between the drain plug and transom.
    $40 in treated 4x4 and some casters.


    Lower the trailer jack all the way and it should be built to just slide under the boat.

    Lift the bow using straps through the bow eye. The boat should bear weight on the carriage and lift completely off the trailer. Once the boat is high enough raise the trailer jack to level and pull the trailer out.

    I say not many guys have a lift for boat because I have not seen a video of a guy crushed while waxing the bottom of his bass boat .

    Harbor freight has a cheap A frame my buddy uses and I borrow 2 inch strap under rear and cherry picker on the front jack stands after trailer is out.

    that foldable system is very similar to the harbor freight A frame but twice the money

    Rated for over 5k, and have done plenty of gel work using this system.
    It's a system made by Brownell Boat Systems, look it up.
